Diamonds Are Forever
Bob Chipman joins us for our annual outing with secret agent James Bond and this mission may be our most grueling yet as we cut down the cubic zirconia of 007 films, Diamonds Are Forever. Listen as we discuss Sean Connery's perfunctory return to the franchise, measure the mortality rate for women who sleep with James Bond, and contemplate more efficient methods of smuggling diamonds. Warning: Contains explicit language, spoilers, and car stunts that defy physics.
Our theme song is "Nostalgia TV" by Edward Jonathan Blakeley through Lynne Publishing.

Episode 94: You Only Live Twice
Welcome to Japan, Mr. Bond, and welcome back Bob Chipman for our annual assignment with 007 as we dive into an active volcano of racism and cultural malfeasance with the fifth James Bond adventure, You Only Live Twice. Listen as we discuss the series' forays into science fiction, the worst spy disguise ever put to film, and the viability of a James Bond theme park. Warning: Contains explicit language, spoilers, and one pissed off cat.

Episode 60: Goldfinger
In our newest episode, the honeymoon is over as Tim forces Corinne to watch yet another James Bond movie, with MovieBob joining them again to face the toxic masculinity of the popular 007 outing Goldfinger. We discuss the metaphorical and nearly literal emasculation of Bond, compare the greedy title villain to a certain head of state, and suggest that more casting decisions should be contingent on wrestling matches. Warning: Contains explicit language, spoilers, and a choice of hats: duck or projectile. Also pleased be advised that we do discuss sexual assault as a theme in the film, something that's almost a given with James Bond by this point.

From Russia With Love - Supplement
While we try to cover as much as we can in our episodes, there's always more to see, hear, and read about a movie that can enhance your viewing experience. If you enjoyed our episode on From Russia With Love, here's a few extra bits you might find interesting...
Episode 46: From Russia With Love
We have new orders from M to make contact with special guest Bob Chipman and discuss From Russia With Love, the second James Bond film. We'll talk about the film's reputation as one of the best of the Bond films, examine the movie's place in the evolution of the 007 franchise, and keep track of the series' racism, sexism, homophobia, and articles of clothing that Bond has people fetch for him. Warning: Contains explicit language, spoilers, and a totally gratuitous Romani wrestling match.

Episode 25: Dr. No
Corinne and Tim face their toughest mission yet as they come up against Dr. No, the original James Bond film from 1962. We'll discuss the film's blatant sexism and racism, its role in establishing the formula for the rest of the Bond film series, and how the exploits of Bond reflect England's role in international affairs in the 1960s. Warning: Contains spoilers, explicit language, and bad Sean Connery impersonations. Also please be advised that in discussing the movie we do reference a sexual assault brought up as a plot point in the film.
