Episode 71: Jurassic Park

  2. Hi from Australia. I've recently discovered your blog and I love it. I've been listening to some of the older episodes and you guys do a great job on the films. Well done.
    I think you're right that Spielberg takes less risks now, compared to in earlier films like Jurassic Park. This was probably the last time I really enjoyed one of his films, at least on the basic adventure level. There is a lot to like about this film: Spielberg's direction, the story, the dinosaurs, John Williams's music, which reminds me of his music for Land of the Giants, and the actors, especially Sam Neill and Samuel L Jackson.
    The film is also appealing to me because I grew up in the 70s watching the classic Harryhausen dinosaur movies of the past. A very satisfying film.
