Episode 32 Outtake: Melting Down the Man of Steel

While recording out last episode on Superman: The Movie, Ellie and I commented on the various sequels and spin-offs, eventually getting into a little debate about the merits of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel.

I wrote about the movie a while back, but here we get Ellie's perspective. While brief, the discussion ran a bit too long for the episode and had to be trimmed down but we thought it would be interesting to present it uncut here as everyone gears up for the sequel, Batman v. One of the fun games when watching movies is to spot references, secret messages and gags that filmmakers, film crews and actors can slip into movies to pay tribute to films they love, have a bit of fun with their previous work, or give the cinematic equivalent of a shout-out. This time, some set decoration hints at a future encounter for the last son of Krypton in a nearly subliminal image hidden in Zack Snyder's divisive Man of Steel from last year.

After someone expressed their displeasure at seeing a spoiler in a previous review, despite the precautions I tried to take, I thought it'd be best if I discussed spoilers in a separate entry to ensure no one sees anything they don't want to.
